6 Weeks & 6 Days

I just knew I would be that pregnant lady eating salads, drinking her green smoothies, & exercising everyday… Providing my growing baby with all the nutrients and vegetables it could ever need.

Lets all take a moment to laugh at this.

I started out strong.  Eating as many fruits and veggies as I could & walking almost everyday.

Then I hit around 6 weeks & everything changed.

Not a single vegetable sounds good. I went from bananas everyday, to puking after 2 bites of one.

Suddenly the only thing that was halfway appealing was flour tortillas, bread, and cheese its.

Give me all the carbs!!!

To the super fit pregnant ladies out there, more power to you! I am just going to sit in my office with a box of cheese its & pray that I can keep them down. 😉

The good news is that I am not “getting sick” as much as I am just constantly nauseous.

Sprite is my saving grace right now! Pumpkin Spice Lattes are OUT. (I know, right?) Sad day! 😉

But all is well! 🙂

I couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone from the start of our IVF journey.  I still find myself in “pinch me” moments, where I can’t believe that it worked!

We had our first ultrasound appt with Dr. Phy this week & found out some exciting news that makes all of this nausea & exhaustion SO worth it.

We are having TWINS! Two babies! Dos! Double the trouble! HOLY COW! Is this real life?

I knew there was a high chance of multiples going into fertility treatments. They transferred two embryos, which put the chances to 50% or higher. Hello Ashlee!

I just never in my wildest dreams thought that IVF would work THIS well! I am over the moon.

GOD ANSWERES PRAYERS, YALL!!!

Mitchell & I just held hands & watched as the ultrasound found two PERFECT little, fluttering heartbeats.

I have never been more excited & scared in my entire life.

Our little family of 2 is going to be a family of 4 in the blink of an eye! We have lots of planning to do & I am so grateful that God chose me to be their mommy.

Lots of prayers for a healthy, LONG pregnancy are much appreciated.

Thanks for all the support & love!

XOXO – Ashlee
