End of Stims…bye felicia!

I finished 11 days of stims & I was P-U-M-P-E-D for them to be over! We went down to Lubbock for the 3rd time in 5 days to get my final ultrasound before trigger shot and ER. I had 19 mature follicles all together which is above average. Whoohoo!

I am still extremely bloated & look like I am already growing a baby. I usually have a pretty flat stomach & this growing belly (especially before baby) made me freak out a little. But, that is just part of it. Bloating will occur & there is nothing I can do about it.IMG_5920

We have been traveling non-stop this week & it is taking its tole. We are both exhausted & short fused. My hormones are on high alert & Mitchell is exhausted from driving. We spent three full hours driving back from Lubbock without speaking a work. Good music & quiet time is what we are all about right now!

I got a surprise from my co-workers this week that absolutely made my day! They put together a blessings box full of words of encouragement, candy, & cash! I am so grateful for the people I work with! Surround yourself with wonderful people & it will make you want to be a better person! The out pour of support, prayers, & financial help has really opened my eyes. I will do my best to save up in the future & help another couple pay for IVF. This has been weighing on my heart for several months now & I am bound and determined to make it happen.

We had a scare on our way home Wednesday! We had a later appt that day & wound up goofing off in LBK way to long. We were headed home when we got a call from my doctor saying that she wanted us to do another night of stims (day 11) 30 minutes before we did our trigger shot at 7. The trigger shot is THE MOST important shot during the IVF process & we were not anywhere close to home! WHOOPS! We had about 2 hours left of our drive & it was 5!!! Thank goodness for my wonderful Mother-in-Law! She met us & I had to take my last 2 stim shots on the side of the road… that was def a first. My husband took control, made sure she got everything we needed while I cried & stressed out. Typical! We were able to take our trigger shot at my parents house at 7:18 & all was well. Everything worked out & I once again, Thank God that we have family close & such an amazing support system!

The shots on the side of the road was too much & of course I had to take a picture! Nothing to see here, just two shots in the belly. Not the kind of drugs your thinking about. Keep driving people, I am trying to make a baby here!IMG_5919
